Francis Strowd

Graveside services for Francis Strowd, 86, of Huntsville, who died Sunday, May 2, 2004, are 2:30 p.m. today at Elam Cemetery in Goshen with the Rev. Marvin Jackson officiating. The services are under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. today.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Minnie Strowd; five sisters four brothers.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law John Henry and Jean Stroud of Troy; sister Eleanor Gorum, Huntsville; special niece Pat Tumminello, Huntsville; nephew Robert Gorum, Huntsville; and special friend Wilson Clark, Huntsville.

Bunah Mae Armistead

Services for Bunah Mae Armistead, 97, of Ramer, who died Tuesday, May 4 are 4 p.m. Thursday, May 6 at Ramer United Methodist Church with the Revs. Delbert Freeman, Sean Rezak and Larry Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ramer Cemetery under the direction of Leak-Memory Chapel.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 at the family residence in Ramer.

Mrs. Armistead was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Eugene Armistead Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Mae Armistead; two sons, Joseph Wilbur Armistead and Samuel Eugene Armistead Jr. (Anne Cicelia); two granddaughters, Elizabeth Alice Armistead, Eleanor Ann Armistead Batson (William Thurston Batson, III); two great-grandsons, William Samuel Batson and Jack Armistead Batson.

Pallbearers will be Charles Edward Sellers Jr., William Walton Sellers, Joseph Davis Sellers, William Gilbert Sellers Jr., Loyd D. Smilie and Charles Edward Sellers III.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ramer United Methodist Church Building Fund.
