Glenda DeAnna Blackmon

Services for Glenda DeAnna Blackmon, 37, who died Saturday, April 17, 2004 in Montgomery, are 3 p.m. today, April 20 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. William Leverette officiating.

Burial will follow in Rutledge Cemetery in Rutledge, under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, April 19 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Blackmon was preceded in death by her father, James Blackmon and a special friend Gina Michie.

She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Blackmon of Luverne; sister, Marcia Jolene (Ronnie) Clemons of Florence; two brothers, Marvin Joseph (Sheri) Kittle Sr. of Greenville and Kelvan Tracy Blackmon of Troy; four nieces: Amanda Dawn Dabbs, Margaret Roberson, Jenny Marie Smith, Victoria Delane Spann; four nephews, Jeremy Ray Dabbs, Marvin Joseph Kittle Jr., Kenneth James Kittle, John Kelvan Smith; great niece, Maya Jaden Venturi; extended family and friends, Charlotte and David Hussey, Gay Culpepper Michie, Celes Mason, Jennifer Kowalski.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the M.S. Society.

Khadra Spear "K.K." McKenzie

Services for Khadra Spear "K.K." McKenzie, 88, of Lapine for 68 years, who died Saturday, April 18, 2004, are 11 a.m. today at the Lapine United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lavon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery under the direction of Brooks-Cargile Funeral Home.

Visitation was 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her first husband William Benjamin "Ben" Spear, son William Benjamin "Benny" Spear JR. and son-in-law Miles Newman.

Survivors include her husband Sterling Price "Pip" McKenzie, two daughters and sons-in-law Ginger Spear and Dee Hawk, Lapine, and Gail Spear Neumann, Shady Grove; daughter-in-law Law Paula Spear, Montgomery; grandchildren Derran Hawk, Dee Ann Hawk White (Aubrey), Denton Hawk, Dr. Jay Neumann (Alison), Blake Neumann Maraman (Ken), Lindsay Neumann, Bentt Spear III, Kamee Spear, Brad Spear (Elizabeth), great-grandchildren, Dee White, Miles Neumann III, Alexander Neumann, Chapman Maraman; niece Debra Findley, special family friend Exa McCoy Huffman.
