Cupidene (Wiggins) Field

Graveside services for Cupidene (Wiggins) Field, 86, of Stillwater, Okla., who died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, in Stillwater will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Oakwood Cemetery on Knox Street in Troy with the Rev. Otis Derrah officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Mrs. Field grew up and attended schools in Alabama. She moved to Stillwater in 1965 and became employed at Oklahoma State University as an administrative assistant. She continued in that capacity until her retirement in 1983.

She was preceded in death by her parents one daughter, Elaine Field; brothers, Roy and Elton Wiggins; and sisters, Audrey (Wiggins) McLeod and Myrtie (Wiggins) Mason.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Mickey and Marsha Field of Disputanta, Va.; one brother and his wife, Dr. Ken and Margaret Wiggins of Stillwater; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jeff and Jacqueline Field, all of Disputanta; and great-grandchildren, Jarrett, Jordan, Brendan, Jaylee and Trevor Field of Disputanta.

Terah Law Stewart

Services for Terah Law Stewart, 93, of the Henderson Community, who died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb.

21, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Perry Green officiating.

Burial will follow at Old Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stewart taught school for 38 years at Henderson and Goshen Elementary School. She was a member of several organizations.

She was prededed in death by her

husband, Knox Stewart; brothers, Johnny, Naham and Noble Stewart; and sister-in-law, Lucille Law.

Survivors include Ann W. Key of Troy and Mae Williams of Troy; a sister-in-law, Helen Law of Montgomery; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Qualls, Curtis Blair, Dr. John R. Key, Frank Law, Jimmy Law and Hub Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Hester and the Staff of B+ at Troy Health and Rehabilitation.

SFC Ret. Eddie MotesSr.

Graveside services for SFC Ret. Eddie Motes Sr., 71, of Weaver, who died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in Gadsden, will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Maple Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Sean Nix and Military Chaplain Pamela Parker officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel of Anniston with full Military Honors.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until

noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Motes was a native of Troy and resided in Calhoun County for the past 30 years. He was retired from the United States Army with 26 years of service. Mr. Motes was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, where he received two purple hearts and bronze star. He has been employed with AOD for 24 years as a technician and was a member of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Nadean Nix.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Bento Motes of Weaver; daughter, Raena Motes-Garmon of Jacksonville; son, Eddie Motes Jr. of Weaver; sisters, Katheleen Smith of Midway, Mary Renfroe of Cusseta, Ga., Iretha Wynn of Florence, Selene Bundy of Troy, Linda Cox of Troy and Margaret Boyd of Sprague; brothers, Henry Motes, Kenneth Motes, James Motes and Herman Motes, all of Troy; and grandsons, Jacob Garmon and Nicolas Garmon.

Pallbearers will be members of the United States Army Honor Guard.
