Annie Lue Pugh Griffin

Services for Annie Lue Pugh Griffin, 99, who died December 4, 2003 in Bronx, New York, were 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul AME Church in Brundidge with the Rev. W.D. Flowers officiating.

Burial was at St. Paul's Church Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Mrs. Griffin, a long-time resident of Brundidge, was born on Dec. 25, 1903 to Freeman and Bessie Pugh in Vicks, Ala. She was reared in Vicks where she attended the public school system. She later moved to Brundidge where she met and married the late Will Griffin and had six children. At an early age, she joined St. Paul AME Church, where she was a faithful member for more than 70 years until her health no longer permitted her to attend.

She was preceded in death by her husband Will Griffin; her parents, Freem and Bessie Pugh; two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Griffin, affectionately called "Muh" by her children, is survived by her daughters Annie Carthee of Bronx, N.Y.; Catherine Copeland of Lakeland, Fla., Betty Brooks of Chicago, Mellonese Miller of Newark, N.J., Mary Louise Hobdy of Brundidge and Lillie Mae Hutcherson, Troy; one son, Willie B. Brown of Brundidge; one sister Teanna Brown of Montgomery; 85 grandchildren; 135 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Flossie D. Senn

Services for Flossie D. Senn, 79, of Troy, who died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Troy Regional Medical Center, are 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at Springhill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Lowery officiating.

Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery in Springhill under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation is from 5 until 7 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, and a one-hour lie-in-state will precede the services.

Mrs. Senn was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Senn.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law J.C. and Carolyn Senn Jr. of Opelika and Bruce and Virginia Senn of Troy; two daughters and son-in-law, Gwen Rhodes of Tuscaloosa and Peggy and Phillip Johnson of Valley; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Golden of Ashford; three brothers Coleman Dillard of Cottonwood, Joe Bob Dillard of Dallas, Texas, and Dolphus Dillard of Cottonwood.
