Henry C. Scarbrough

Services for Henry C. Scarbrough, 60, of Troy who died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at his residence was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Wilburn Kirkland officiating.

Burial was in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Scarbrough was born January 22, 1943 in Pike County.

He worked in the paint and body, automotive industry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Whitehead; father, Henry Scarbrough, Sr.; sister, Linda Sue Whitehead and a brother, Ricky Whitehead.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Fenecia and Mike Thrash of Troy, Teresa Scarbrough of Troy and Mellisa and David Cooper of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren, Alisha Linzey, Courtney and Josh Motes, Nichole Mitchell, Shannon Falls, Justin and Robby Thrash; two great-grandchildren, Payton Linzey and Emily Korbin Adams; friend and mother of his children, Carol Scarbrough of Troy; four brothers, Pete Whitehead, Johnny Ray Whitehead, Terry Whitehead and Billy Wayne Whitehead; ten sisters, Mary Ellen Scarbrough, Burnell Knotts, Ruby Rushing, Gloria Tillery, Nita Dickey, Liz Green, Sharon Kirkland, Margie Boutwell, Lillian Johnson and Bonnie Faye Whitehead and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bobby Tillery, Bubba Sewell, Timmy Green, Jeffery Adams, Johnny Ham and Bobby Joe Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Mobley, Carl Stamey and John Knotts.
