John P. Davis

Graveside services for John P. Davis, 50, of Troy who died Sunday July 27, 2003 at his home will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday July 29, 2003 at Goodhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy with Minister Floyd Noble officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday July 28, 2003 at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Mack Davis, Sr., and his brother, William &uot;Matt&uot; Davis.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Micheal and Teresa Davis of Ft. Stewart, Georgia; stepsons and wife, Tommy and Oma Lee Coats of Sampson and Tom Geral Coats of California; six grandchildren; mother, Mary Frances Davis of Goshen; two brothers and wife, James Ebbin and Lucy Register of Troy and Fred Mack Davis, Jr. of Troy; four sisters and their husbands, Linda and Stanley Henderson of Goshen, Brenda and Don Ponder of Opelika, Carolyn and Tommy Wood of Grovehill and Margie and Jack Witherington of Troy; sister-in-law, Jinnie Ruth Davis of Troy; half-brother and his wife, Johnnie and Robertta McKenney of Pine Level and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be the nephews.

The family request memorials be made to Wiregrass Hospice.

Eloise Spurlock Little

Services for Eloise Spurlock Little, 69, of Troy who died Saturday July 26, 2003 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 29, 2003 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.

Burial will be in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery at Shellhorn under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Little and her sister, Gladys Wilson.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Donnie and Addie Little of Troy and Scott and Amy Little of Louisville; grandchildren, Brandy, Jessica and Jeffrey Little; three sisters and their husbands, Betty and C. J. Faulk of Hornorville, Thelma and Harry Holley of Fullers Crossroads and Carolyn and Reynolds Rushing of Troy and two brothers, Charles Spurlock of Crestview, Florida and Bobby Spurlock of Montgomery. The family request memorials be made to the Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.

Robert N. Sommerville

Services for Robert N. Sommerville, 87, of Troy who died Sunday July 27, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Montgomery will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday July 30, 2003 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.

Burial will be at a later date in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday July 29, 2003 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sommerville was born July 15, 1916 in Clarksburgh, West Virginia.

His parents were Wesley Newton and Nona Powell Sommmerville. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Sommerville of Rock Hill, South Carolina; daughter Vickie Lockler of Charlotte, North Carolina; granddaughter, Tonya Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina and special friend and caretakers, Charlie and Debbie Ming of Troy.

J.W. (Buck) Harris

J.W. buck Harris, 52, of Leeds, died July 27, 2003.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28, 2003, from 6-9 p.m.

Survivors include: his wife, Pat Harris; daughters, Maria and Angela Harris; sisters, Dot (A.D.) Gainey, Mary Howard and Jayne (Joe) Jackson; brothers, Richard (Joyce) Harris, Ralph (Carolyn) Harris; a sister-in-law Evelyn Harris; grandchildren, Sydney Sloan and Ethan Moon.

He was preceded in death by brothers William Harris and Robert Harris and his parents, Richard and Dixie Harris.
