North Chilton was befuddled on offense by the Troy pitchers, managing only two base runners through five innings. Jessica Spearman's first inning single was the lone hit of the night for North Chilton, and it would have been the only time the team reached base if not for an error in the fifth by Troy.

Troy's offense started out slowly. Eden Harris was stranded at third after a lead-off single in the first inning, and Shuntrice Raybun was left at third in the second inning.

Harris hit her second single to lead off the third inning, but she was not stranded that time. Lindsey Garner followed with a single, and heather Snell and Autumn Welch did the same as the first four Troy batters of the inning singled. All four scored as well.

Megan Johnson, the fifth batter of the inning, reached on an error, and Eden Stamey followed with a double. She later scored to give Troy a 5-0 lead.

Troy added four more runs in the fourth inning to take a 9-0 lead. Heather West led off with a single, and after Harris walked and Garner was hit by a pitch, she came around to score on a Snell single.

Harris, Garner and Snell all scored in the inning. Johnson and Welch also notched hits for Troy in the inning.

The fifth inning was the final one in the game. Harris led off the inning with a walk, and Garner did the same. Snell hit her third base hit of the game in the next at bat with an RBI double. Johnson also hit a double in the inning and Snell, Harris and Garner all scored to put Troy ahead 12-0.

Troy will play again today at 8 p.m.
