J. Elaston Bishop, 84 of Troy died Tuesday June 10, 2003 at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Revs. Mack Lowery and Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy Wednesday June 11, 2003 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Flossie Harris Bishop of Troy; two children, Deloris Bishop of Troy and Ricky and Linda Graham Bishop of Troy; niece, Denise Hopper; nephew, Benny Carter; sisters, Audrey Dunn, Dorothy Meadows, Erma Lowery; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, I. B. and Mary Harris; brother-in-law George McVay and a sister-in-law, Virginia Harris.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Meadows, Harry Meadows, Robert Meadows, Mitchell Harris, Charles Dunn and Lawrence Lowery.

Larry Edward Henderson

Services for Larry Edward Henderson, 45, of Banks who died Monday June 09, 2003 at Flowers Hospital

in Dothan will be at 2 p.m. Thursday June 12, 2003 at Full Gospel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Fortune officiating.

There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service.

Burial will be in Banks Cemetery in Banks under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday June 11, 2003 at the funeral home.

Mr. Henderson was the Mayor and Fire Chief of Banks as well as the Director of Plant Operations at Edge Regional Medical Center for over 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Henderson of Banks; son and his wife, Scott and Stacey Henderson of Troy; two grandchildren, Patrick and Alex Henderson, parents, Edward and Ruth Henderson of Banks; two brothers and their wives, DeWayne and Lisa Henderson and Danny and Hope Henderson of Banks; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edna and Jerry Mancil; nieces, Jenna Henderson and Jessica Henderson and nephews, Jeremy Henderson, Lee Henderson and Jared Henderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Allen Young and Dr. Mark Griffin
