Ola L. Mahone

Services for Ola L. Mahone, 88, of Elyria, Ohio , formerly of Goshen, who died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria was at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Springfield Baptist Church in Ansley with Pastor James officiating.

Burial was in Macedonia C. M.E. Cemetery in Ansley under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mahone was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Goshen. She attended the public schools of Pike County and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where she served as a church mother and missionary. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Mahone; sons, Zebadee and James Edward Mahone; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include sons, Johnny Lee, Leroy, James Walter and Nathaniel Mahone all of Elyria and Jimmy Lee Mahone, Jr., of Goshen; daughters, Sarah Mahone of Elyria. Prince Ola Lester of Ortonville, Michigan and Virginia Cannady of Columbus, Georgia; twenty three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Saulberry of Chicago, Illinois, Johnnie Mae Reed of California and Dorothy Penalton of Virginia.

Pallbearers were the grandsons.

Flowerbearers were the granddaughters.

Tereasa King

Services for Tereasa King, 50, of Troy who died March 11, 2003, at Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 3 p.m. March 17, 2003, at St. Paul AME Church with Rev. Bobby Cox officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. March 16, 2003, at the funeral home.

Tereasa was born Dec. 29, 1952, in Alabama. Her parents were Mr. Charlie King and Wilma King. She completed the 11th grade and was retired from Organized Community Action-Headstart after 28 years of dedication and service. She was also a member of St. Paul AME Church and loved spending time with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her loving mother and father; two beloved sons and their wives, Reginald A. and Shirley King of Boston, MA and Jerome and Aretha Bean of Troy; three sisters, Rochelle King, Shirley King and Marilyn King all of Troy; brother, Gregory King of Troy; eight grandchildren, five nieces and nephews; two great nephews and a devoted friend to many.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Flowerbearers will be friends and family.

Juanita Overstreet Allen

Juanita Overstreet Allen, 67, of Brundidge died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Edge Regional Medical Center. Services will be Monday, March 17, 2003, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Keith Reynalds officiating. Burial will follow in Union Springs Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Survivors include, her husband, Victor Allen of Brundidge; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Geraldine Allen of Albany, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Annita and Michael Bryson of LaFayette, Ga.' a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Julie Allen of Albany; garndchildren, Michelle King, Melinda Allen, Dedria Ponder, Jeremy Ponder, Keith Allen, Chris Allen, Sean Allen, Scott Allen; a brother, Junior Overstreet of Montgomery; a sister, Arbie Lee Harsey of Montgomery; a brother, J.T. Overstreet of Headland; a brother, Lavon Overstreet of Dothan and a sister, Laura Ace Windham of Dothan.
