Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Students were caught &uot;red-hatted&uot; Monday as they celebrated Dr. Seuss's 99th birthday and Read Across America Day.
Children in kindergarten through sixth grade celebrated the day with Dr. Seuss birthday cakes, red and white hats and special guest readers.
Even the teachers caught the spirit of the day in their all black Cat in the Hat costumes.
Goshen Elementary served up green eggs and ham for lunch and one Troy Elementary class ate it for breakfast.
Goshen also held a costume contest during which students displayed their costumes based on book characters.
Banks Primary hosted a family night Monday night and set up a rotation of activities for students and their parents.
Different rooms housed activities, refreshments, guest readers and even a book sale of Dr. Seuss's books.
Like so many of the other schools, Dr. Seuss books and portraits of the Cat in the Hat adorned walls and tables.
