Claudia Adele Booker

Services for Claudia Adele Booker, 85, of Evergreen who died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at Evergreen Nursing Home will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Evergreen under the direction of Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Booker was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Conecuh County. She was a seamstress at a

local manufacturing

plant.

Mrs. Booker was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Booker and one daughter, Claudia Booker.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Booker of Troy; daughters, Faye Smith of Guntersville, Elaine Matthews of Evergreen and Gail Prince-Powder of Springs, Ga.; sisters, Paralee Powell of Mobile and Mattie Lee Cook of Charlotte, N.C.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
