Bannie Mae Downing Hartzog

Services for Bannie Mae Downing Hartzog, 75, of the Roeton Community who died Monday January 13, 2003 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2003 at Roeton Baptist Church with Revs. Harold Peters and Joe Underwood officiating.

There will be a thirty minute lie-in-state prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Rocky Head under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday January 14, 2003 at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hartzog.

Survivors include a sister, Tearsie Dickey of Brundidge; brothers, Palmer Downing of Bainbridge, Georgia, Jack Downing of Brundidge and Marlin Downing of Ariton.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Downing, Jerry Downing, Randy Downing, Frankie Downing, Jamie Downing and Johnny Downing.

Mrs. Marion Rogers Lewis

Graveside services for Marion Rogers Lewis, 84, of Troy who died Tuesday January 14, 2003 at Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 11 a.m. Thursday January 16, 2003 at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dr. John Brannon and Rev. Roy Lewis officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2003 at the funeral home.

Survivors include a husband of 61 years, Kermit Lewis of Troy; daughter and her husband, Sandra Lewis and Herman Lindsey of Valdosta, Georgia; son and his wife, Larry and Sherry Lewis of Troy; brother, Graydon Rogers of Millidgeville, Georgia; grandaughters and their husbands, Pam Lindsey and Ben Reaves, Carol Lindsey and Les Charles and Angie Lewis; grandson, Wade Lindsey; 5 great-grandchildren, Brittney Reaves, Mary Margaret Charles, Christina Charles, Ben Reaves, Jr. and Caleb Reaves; sister-in-law; Jewel Branham of Florida and a brother-in-law and his wife, Roy F. and Betty Lewis of Arkansas.

The family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Troy or to Wiregrass Hospice.
