E. L. Ginyard, 67, of Tampa, Fla. died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001 in Tampa.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 7 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Sankey officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Ginyard was born Dec. 24, 1933 in Pike County to Moses and Susie Dent Ginyard. He attended Pike County public schools and worked the majority of his life as a longshoreman. He was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mattie Lou Reynolds and Pearl Mitchell, both of Troy; one brother, James D. Ginyard of Troy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to Carroll Street Cemetery.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

Obie G. Neal

Obie G. Neal, 65, of Troy died Monday, March 5, 2001 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 8 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Neal was born Jan. 1, 1936 in Pike County to Myria Farria and George Neal Sr. He was affiliated with the Church of God.

Survivors include two brothers, George Neal Jr. of Troy and Clemmie James Neal; three aunts, Ruth Hill of Panama City, Fla., Sella Neal of Birmingham and Doll Neal of New York City; two uncles, Sonny Neal of New York and Alonzo Neal of Mississippi; three sisters-in-law, Edia Mae Tuck, Willie Pearl Neal and Patricia Ann Watson.

Pallbearers will be George Neal, James Neal and Willie George Neal. Floralbearers will be Alfreda Watson, Barbra Watson and Shirley Watson.

Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. today at Harrison Funeral Home.
