TABL wraps up league play this Sunday

From Special Reports – The Troy Amateur Baseball League will wrap up its tenth season of baseball on Sunday at Riddle-Pace Field.

The second place Pirates will play the third place Indians at 2 p.m., with the winner playing the league-leading Marlins for the championship at 4:45 p.m.

The Marlins will be going into the playoffs undefeated, the first time in TABL history that’s ever happened.

TABL coordinator James Henderson wants to invite everyone in the Troy area to come out for Sunday’s doubleheader.

"There was some outstanding baseball played at Riddle-Pace Field this year," said Henderson. "We want people to come out and watch some of the best baseball anywhere."

Henderson also wished to extend his thanks to the Troy Parks and Recreation Department.

"All of the staff, equipment managers, ground crews and umpires help make this league succesfull," said Henderson. "My hat goes off to the coaches and players for a job well done this season as well."
