MACON, Ga. – Belmont University’s Candice Mitchell (Sparta, Tenn.) scored a career-high 33 points against Jacksonville University and led the Bruins to a perfect 2-0 record for the week to earn Atlantic Sun women’s basketball player-of-the-week honors as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Mitchell is the A-Sun’s fifth leading scorer averaging 15.4 ppg and ranks fourth in field goal percentage (.582).
