"Our defense played hard today. LSU was just faster than us," Sheikh said. "We also lost our starting forward (Amanda Mason) to injury in the first minute of the game, who is not only a senior, but a team captain. That hurt us early on in the game."

Troy State will face Montevallo at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Trojan Soccer Field for the second match of the 2000 season.
