The one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:10 p.m., five miles north of Banks.

Troopers believe the accident was caused when the 1993 Buick

driven by Teresa Starke, 28, of Brundidge, hydroplaned during a brief shower. Rain was reported in the area where the wreck occurred at the time of the accident.

According to Pike County Coroner Jerry Williams, Bradham appears to have died of "blunt force trauma."

The official results of the autopsy have not been released, Williams said.

"That appears to be the cause of death," he said, "though we will know more later."

Bradham was wearing a seatbelt, Troopers reported.

Williams pronounced Bradham dead at the scene of the accident.

Starke was injured and was transported to Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy. No information on her condition was available.

Also injured were Jalisa Starke, 10; Earnest Starke, 4; Timothy Bradham, 7 and Tiffany Starke, 7.

All of the accident victims were transported to Edge Regional Medical Center.

The accident is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers, a spokesperson for the Troopers said.
