Lela McLendon, 83, of Troy, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at her residence.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2000, from Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Ken May and Craig Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Oliver of Troy, Jane Houston of Jacksonville, IL., and Jeanette Wilson of Brundidge; one son, Robert McLendon of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Reynolds and Fleta Justice, both of Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2000, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

 

Frank A. Mobley

Frank A. Mobley, 79, of Troy, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Revs. Steve Rascoe and Joe Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. Mobley of Troy; one son, Michael H. Mobley of Troy; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Roy Mann of Troy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Dorothy Roberts of Andalusia; one brother-in-law, Arlen Roberts of Gardendale; one sister-in-law, Betty Charles Mobley of Troy, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Mollie Goodson Mobley; five sisters, Mary Lee Davis, Jessie Wilks, Lola Hughes, Cupie Dean Ramsey, Bonnie Ruth McQuillin; two brothers, James and Charles Mobley.

Honorary pallbearers for the service will be the employees of the Department of Transportation 7th Division.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, June 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the Park Memorial Methodist Church.
