Mary Missouri Pittman, 104, of Troy, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral in Troy with the Rev. J.C. Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include three sisters, Emma Lee Owen of Jacksonville, Fla., Ruby Berry of Abbeville, and Frances Smith Carroll of Troy; one brother, J.T. Smith of Troy; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 5, 2000, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Theodore R. Leverette

Theodore R. Leverette, 89, of Brundidge, died on Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Linwood with the Rev. Larry Bland officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include four sisters, Sally Mae Jackson of Akron, Oh., Cora Mae Johnson of Troy, Mable Brooks of Brundidge, and Lillie Ruth Johnson of Miami, Fla.; two brothers, James Henry Leverette of Enterprise and Hosie Leverette of Troy; one sister-in-law, Archie Lee Leverette of Enterprise; friend, Ola Mae Starks of Troy; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1911 in Linwood to Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Leverette. He attended the local public school system and was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Floralbearers will be nieces and friends.
