Pat Kreis, 46, of Apartment 145 Botts Avenue in Troy died Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

His funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 31 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with Father Billy Fields presiding. Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. Dillard Funeral Home of Troy handled arrangements.

Survivors include wife, Kathy Kreis of Troy; his sons, Todd Kreis and Casey Kreis, both of Troy; parents, Johnny and Charlotte Kreis of Troy; step-daughter, Jamie Craft of Troy; step-son, Jonathan Neeley of Troy; grandchildren, Brittney and Blake Craft of Troy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Lynn Kreis of Troy, Mike and Pam Kreis of Troy; grandmother, Teresa Kreis of Troy; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

Pallbearers will be Mike Amos, Tony Smith, Herby Davis, Sonny Williford, Buddy Hargrove, Ricky Huner, Charles Rhodes, and David Rhodes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Archer, Spencer Burkette, Gary Guthrie, Jimmy Lunsford, TSU Action Club, and football coaches at TSU.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Lee Ann Kreis.

Charlie Frank Pennington

Charlie Frank Pennington, 33, died Saturday, March 25, 2000 in Atlanta, Ga.

His funeral was held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 1 at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Linwood with the Rev. J. Grooms and Bishop Carl McComb presiding. Burial followed at New Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Linwood. George F. Grubbs Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Survivors include Adaine Pennington of Troy; daughter Ashley Blair of Troy; wife, Kelley Pennington of Atlanta; friend, Joann Cummings of Troy; brothers, Eddie (Betty) Parker of Troy, Curtis (Shirley) Parker of Troy, Obbie Neal, Lawrence, Jerome, Willie, Michael Pennington all of Troy; sisters, Sadie Dubose of Troy, Fannie (James) Montgomery-Birmingham, Annie (Michael) Brown, Las Vegas, Nev., Ada (George) Wilson, Brundidge, Mary and Virginia Pennington, Troy; four aunts, two uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Willie Paul, Curtis Siler, Jerry Cummings, Willie Wilson, Willie Caldwell, and Robert Brundidge.

He was born on September 30, 1966 in Saco to Adaine and the late Hayward Pennington. He was a 1985 graduate of Charles Henderson High School and was a member of New Mt. Pleasant Church.
