James L. Williamson, 65, of Route 2 Box 244 in Goshen died March 26, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 31 at Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Goshen with the Rev. L. G. Bland presiding. Burial will follow at Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Goshen. Harrison Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors include wife, Dasie Williamson; children, Patricia Alloway, Tracy Williamson, Lasha Williamson, Willie Wages, Octavia Hendrick, Vernetta (Alfred) Purvis, Barbara (John) Greer, Charles (Loretta) Williamson, sister, Mary Lou McCloud; aunts, Ida Mae Washington, Imma Lou Cooley, and sister-in-law, Lorine (Eli) Folmar.

He was born on July 6, 1934 in Crenshaw County to John F. and Tessie Williamson. He was a truck driver.

Vistitation was held from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 30 and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, March 31 at Old Mt. Zion.
