Vallie McGrady, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Troy died Friday, March 17, 2000 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. James McGrady and Julius Busky presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. George F. Grubbs Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors include sister, Saddie Jackson of Detroit, Michigan; brother, Johnny Turner of Troy; aunt, Annie Ausberry of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Mary Lizzie McGrady and Mary Francis of Anderson, Indiana, Lonnie Mae McGrady of Troy; nieces, Ann Stewart of Troy, H. Ruth Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio, Elnora Brooks of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was born on April 8, 1913 in Troy to Norral and Carrie Phillips Smith. She was an active member of St. James A. M. E. Church until her illness.

James Earl Jones

James Earl Jones, 42, of Columbia South Carolina died March 20, 2000 in Orangeburgh County, S.C.

His funeral will be graveside and closed casket at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 26 at Shady Grove Missonary Baptist Church in Troy with the Rev. Donny Harris presiding.

Survivors include wife, Marilyn D. Jones; sisters, Mary H. (Thomas) Jones, Bobby Brooks, Jimmy L. Green, Mozell Moultry, Mary M. Jones, Annie C. (Ray) Scaife, Martha Lattamore, Lise (Steve) Terry; brothers, Robert G. Jones, Kenneth D. Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was born on May 27, 1957 in Troy to Walter and Bazel B. Jones. He was in the U. S. Army and was self-employed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Henry L. Fuller

Henry L. Fuller, 78, of Troy died Friday, March 17, 2000 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2000 at Old Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Level with the Revs. J. C. Folks and R. Walker presiding. F. Grubbs Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors include daughters, Eunice M. Jackson of Troy, Henrietta (John) Thomas of Troy, Shirley Drumin of Oakland, Calif.; son, Larry (Lillie Ann) Fuller of Troy; sisters, Ethel Bryant, Annie L. Blackmon, Sweetie (Kelson) Johnson of Pine Level; brother, Tommy (Ruthie Mae) Fuller of Atlanta; aunt, Lois (John) Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.; uncles, A. D. (Margaret) Bailey of Pine Level, John Bailey; 11 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Illoise Fuller of Tampa, Fla., Willie Pearl Hill of Birmingham; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, other close family and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.

He was born on Dec. 30, 1921 in Bullock County to Cleveland and Florence Fuller. He served as Deacon of Old Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #259 in China Grove.

Clyde Walter Stone

Clyde Walter Stone, 55, of 32 Lakewood Drive in Eufaula died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 24 at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. David Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church in the New Hope Community. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge is handling arrangements.

Survivors include wife, Pearl P. Stone of Eufaula; daughters, Shelby Milner of Columbus, Ga., Mary Niles of Phenix City, Gail Balkin of Phenix City; sister, Hilda Cushion of Eufaula; brothers, Frank Stone of Eufaula, Willie Stone of Eufaula; and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 23 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. The body will also lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service.

Mattie Pearl Steed

Mattie Pearl Steed, 86, of Rt. 3 Box 381 in Brundidge died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 in Ozark Nursing Home.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 24 at Richland Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Andrews presiding. Burial will follow at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge is handling arrangements.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Paramore of Ozark, Rita and Rex Wesley of Banks; son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Dolisca Steed of Brundidge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Clem Thrash of Enterprise; Annette and DeKalb Miles of Brundidge; grandchildren, Jeff Paramore, Darren Paramore, Angie Wesley Barron, Wendy Steed, Clifton Steed; great-grandchildren, Wesley Barron, Nason Paramore, and Hunter Steed.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Steed, Rayvon Thrash, Robert Bullock, Aaron Norris, Robert Steed, and Leon Thrash.

Honorary pallbearers will be James E. (Pid) Steed.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 23 at Dillard funeral Home in Brundidge. The body will also lie-in-state one hour prio to the funeral service.
