Clarice Skinner Blackwell, 85, of Troy died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at her residence.

Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel of Troy with the Rev. Lavon Davis presiding. Burial will follow in Little Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include sisters, Uldeine Starnes of Andalusia, Rubye Brown of Middleburg, Fla.; Bernice Jeter of Goshen, Oleta Smith of Huntsville; brother and sister-in-law, M. W. and Madolin Skinner of Goshen; nieces and nephews, Estelle Jackson, Carolyn Weed, Linda Snyder, Sheila Floyd, Frances Meyer, Willodean Daugherty, Ronald D. Jeter, Lynelle Roy, Allyson Pitman, Stephanie Wells, and Marvin W. Skinner, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Robert Meyer, Aubrey Pitman, Gabe Floyd, Brian Snyder, Robin Snyder, and Bart Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:20 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.

Elaine Reddoch Dotson

Elaine Reddoch Dotson, 79, of 113 Murphree Street in Troy died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at Luverne Nursing Facility.

Her funeral will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at The Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Danny Doss presiding. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

Survivors include son, Joe Dotson of Jackson, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Ellie Dotson of Sacremento, Calif.; grandchildren, Kevin Dotson of Jackson, Miss, Matt Dotson of Sacremento, Calif., Lauren Dotson of Sacremento, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Emma Dotson of Jackson, Miss., Andrew Dotson of Jackson, Miss.; sister, Mildred Athey of Grady; and brother, Jimmy Reddoch of Pell City.

She was preceded in death by husband O. W. (Joe) Dotson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Troy Public Library of First United Methodist Church of Troy.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Dillard Funeral Home.

Philip J. McLean

Philip J. McLean, 32, of Troy, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery as the result of an accident on a four-wheeler on Saturday, March 11.

His funeral will be at 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 17 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Dean presiding.

Survivors include wife, Sherry McLean; daughter, Nikki Presley; sons, Aaron McLean, Cody Presley, all of Troy; mother, Patricia Ann McLean of Homestead, Fla.; brother, James J. McLean of Homestead, Fla.; mother-in-law, Viola Presley of Troy; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Honorary pallbearers will be Britt Newman, Mike Fortune, Mike Fuller, Donnie Allen, James McLean, and Mike Cyrus.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
