Hortense T. Stewart, 89, of Pike Manor Health Care Center in Troy died on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18 at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. John Clark presiding. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Troy.

Survivors include, brother and sister-in-law, Harris and Quida Turner of Troy; sister-in-law, Nannie Turner of Troy; brother-in-law, Lomax Stewart of Virginia; nephews, Wade (Carol Ann) Turner of Okla., John (Gail) Turner of Dothan; niece, Charlene Green of Dothan; special friends, Milton and Eleanor McKellar of Troy and Mary Jean Henderson of Troy.

Pallbearers will be Billy Bean, Doug Branson, Hugh Mallett, John McKellar, John Turner, and Wade Turner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jack Brantley and James Mullis

Rob Dickey

Rob Dickey, 94, of 18065 Highway 125 in Brundidge died at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m., Feb. 17 at New Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Raymond Holt and J. C. Turner presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Church of Christ in Brundidge.

Survivors include, wife, Tearsie Dickey of Brundidge; daughter and son-in-law, Annie Merle and Sam Chalker of Dothan; sons and daughters-in-law, E. L. (Buck) and Marie Dickey of New Hope Community; Huey and Rebecca Dickey of Brundidge; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other close relatives.

He and his wife had been married 73 years.

Visitation will be at his home after 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 until the time of service.
