Troy Police are investigating three robberies that occurred Saturday between 2 a.m. and 9 p.m.

At approximately 2 a.m., 87 Amoco, a convenience store and gas station, was robbed.

About three hours later, police responded to a robbery at Little C’s Texaco.

The two robberies were the first of three that ended with the robbery of Crowe’s Chicken on Three Notch Street.

Troy Police would not release details of the three burglaries saying they are all under investigation.

According to Jon Creek, Troy resident and manager of 87 Amoco, a clerk at his store was held at gunpoint by an unidentified suspect. The suspect claimed to have a weapon, and then produced it. He escaped the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"We’re just glad no one was injured," Creek said. "The clerk was scared to death, but she was not harmed."

Police confirmed the report, saying that details of the three cases are pending additional investigation.

"There were three different robberies," said Sgt. Bennie Scarbrough, public information officer for the Troy Police Department. "We can confirm that."

Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage said the incidents are unfortunate, and the police department is investigating the cases.

"We cannot say much at this point about the incidents," Everage said. "But more information will be available as the cases are developed."

Police would not speculate on whether the incidents were related.

"We intend to do the best job we can to investigate these crimes," Everage said.
