Bamabunny, when I went to register in Pike Co. week before last, I had to show NO proof of who I was. I thought with everything going on I would have to have a proof of residency and photo ID. Nope, Just filled out the paper and they told me to bring ID on Nov.4th. I think there should have been a little more to it than that. I went with passport, Drivers Liscense, and Utility bill in hand! Couldn't believe they would just take my word for it when the day brfore there was a dog that had been registered!!!!

What's so funny is that you both think Obama a normal African American guy and that's why you're voting for him! WRONG AGAIN! Don't embarrass yourself. The uneducated will be the downfall of this country! You have access to a computer, apparently, RESEARCH THE MAN!!! Tell us why you are going to vote for him. You were the first to say something racist when we were not even mentioning that. Yet caucasions are the first and ONLY to be blamed for racism. BTW...before you try and swipe another check from the government, STUPIDITY IS NOT A HANDICAP! And also, I am of both races so don't you dare say that I am being racist!

STOP!!! Have you ever walked into a school and been disrespected so much by a child you were so desperately trying to help? Troy to teach a child that could care less??? Kids today have NO respect, there are such strict discipline guidelines that they hardly get a slap on the wrist. I have to go back to my phrase, if you can do a better job......DO IT!!!!!! Who are you people to say they are overpaid? The only reason some of them teachers stay are for the love of the students and their future. Yes there are bad teachers out there, but look at every other profession. There are always BAD APPLES! I wanted somebody to help me to understand this situation we are in and after reading some of your posts, FORGET IT!! I'd rather get FACTS. And I can see that is not what this forum is about. People that say teachers are overpaid and have it easy, NOT who I would want to get ANY information from. What a disappointment! I was a substitute for years and there is NO way I would be a teacher for $20/hr much less $13. jkelly32562-seems like you're the only educated one in this bunch!

beaglemom .... if you have read any of my comments so far, I have not said anything out of the way. As a matter of fact, I had a reference to the book of Romans in my first comment about judging others. I feel terrible for the family that lost a loved one and I also feel terrible for Henry. But judging them I have not.

UNBIASED OPINION NEEDED!!! I have been trying to understand Amen. 1...I have received the emails where some of my friends teching jobs might be in trouble if I did not vote for it. I got the jest of needing money. But could someone tell me (besides the internet and one sided opinions) What it will help? How did we get into this mess? Is this bailout going to be like the market bailout and not do too much at all except raise the deficit? I know what people are telling on HOW to vote but I would like to know more before I promote this and vote for it. CONCERNED mother of 2!

I have to agree. The Messenger and there typos.......several of us was talking and laughing at this the other day. I have lived in many places, and I have never seen a paper with so many mistakes! Not every once in a while, but a constant occurence.

I have to say to disillusioned.....I am right with the God I know exist. And the fact that there are anonymous usernames doesn't mean we are out to hurt you or your family and that we are scared to speak up and be identified. The reason that I remain anonymous is due to the fact that personal opinions can cause turmoil. I speak out on issues and if I felt the need to say my name on this forum I would. But in my line of work, I find it best to speak out without having my name blasted for my opinions! Why would you even care what our real names were? Going to try and find us? Spread it around Pike County what we have said on here? Hold a grudge against us and our families? There isn't a good reason that you would want to know our real names. It's best to use an anonymous name so that things said on here can be left on here. Some opinions and for that matter facts, are more truthful and unbiased when there is NOT a name associated with it.
