You surely don't have much house if you are betting it against Tim Tebow !

There may be two that would start. May have 5 that could play. One player, (Grant) started at Pike county two years ago.

Hard to compare the statistics of an individual in a mid-major to those of a school that plays top competition week in and week out. Levi has been a good player for Troy the past two years but in no way deserves consideration or even mention toward the Heisman.
The real player that may likely miss out this year is Mark Ingram. He has clearly shown to be the most outstanding player in the nation. At times, he has had to carry the Tide on his back. His best games have been against Alabama's toughest competition. He will likely win or fall short of the Heisman based on his performance in TWO games. Auburn and Florida. Should he exceed 100 yards in both of those games, he should be a lock but he still has two things weighing heavily against him. 1. he is a sophmore and for some reason that plays in the mind of many. 2. he falls in the region of voters with Tim Tebow so he will likely suffer from the Regional split of votes for Tebow. Regardless, he has proven to be an individual of high character and I am proud for him and his accomplishments.

Glad we are getting a "three point specialist" like D. Ross. A whopping 3.8 points a game in just under 15 minutes. Play him the entire game and he may get 10 points ! WOW !
CAN HE PLAY DEFENSE !

Swanson was not recruited by Troy. He went to Shelton State Junior College out of high school. He is something to watch!!! Not unusual for Troy to not recruit local athletes. Not many would benefit the D-1 level of play but Swanson is an exception for sure.
Now to the game. Can I try to get a point across to our coaches?
PLAY SOME DARN DEFENSE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a shame that all districts in the county do not have a quality commissioner. If you really look at the background of each one we have serving, they compare in no way to the quality of commissioners we have in Troy City.
Why won't more qualified individuals run for the County Commission positions ? We need more educated individuals in these slots.

When I got to the part of this article that referenced the Auburn Tigers as an in state rival of our ladies basketball team, I just about laughed out of my chair. Enough said!

I sure hope Morengo Academy had several injuries BEFORE the Pike Lib trouncing. If they were a healthy team coming in to Troy, I can not imagine them having beaten anyone all season long. They looked like they could not have beaten a middle school soccer team !!!!!!!
Good luck this week Pike Patriots !

Troy is gaining an athlete with great character in William Teal. A Great addition to our team and very nice that they went out and brought him back to Troy.
William is a hard working young man that has come so far over the years. Show your stuff, "willtill".
He knows the reference !
On Teal comes home, signs with Trojans
