Addiction is a very powerful disease. Yes, Rooster has been locked up before, and his Daddy has done everything in this world to help him. But we have come to a tragic ending, and now it is time to let Rooster stay in jail.

For a person to stop using, it has to come from their gut. They have to want to stop. Period. If they do not want to stop, nothing or nobody can stop them. Our prayers go out to Gary & Brenda.

like bamalady said before, it's best that he stays in jail. For him & his family, friends. He may can get out for just $ 50,000, then he's gone. We are praying for both families, because this tragedy will and has affected more than these two.

his name is Garry Anthony Black, 24. You can go to WSFA.com to see info & picture. My information came from Troy Police dept. as well. I just saw it on the NEWS & they said he left and then went back inside and shot him a fifth time. So, alot of different versions out there.

You are right, it doesn't matter at this point. A terrible tragedy for all involved. I will say this, they announced a $ 100,000 bond and that Black or someone would have to come up with $ 50,000 cash for him to get out on bail. If he gets out, they will never find him.

I hope he stays in there.

This being a "drug deal gone bad" is not besides the point. Actually, there are two lives lost here, at least two families and numerous relatives. I believe we make our own luck.....if you're walking down bourbon street at 3am, dont complain about being mugged.

My prayers are with both families. For observer22, we know drugs/alcohol has killed more people than Alabama or any other kind of football. Hardly a comparison.
