excellent post oldcampsite, props to the ones that that ruled the opposite way thats the way to stand up for the citizens of Pike County and City of Troy!! The ones who played the follow along game shame on you all !! whats it going to take for you to realize you have others to think about besides you !! Maybe some of you will remember this come election time !! Thats always been the problem around here they all want to do what one or two do, they cant make there own opinions and decisions .The way i see it is the City of Troy and Pike County took the easy way on this and said "why change thats a little to much work "lets just continue what we have now till it blows up in our face and then we can put the blaim on someone else !! Lets just focus on finding any little piece of land left in Troy and build a apartment complex thats what we need to worry about !! not our EMS its doing just fine .......again Shame on You!!!

For you Mr jones i wanna know has any of this had an effect on you and your family if not quit making your little comments and move on!! And for you Care415 i dont think any of these people are Haynes employees ,why would they be complaining they have jobs also!! these are concerned citizens that realize our EMS system is not efficent right now ! Most of these posts im sure are from people who have had bad experiences with Care.

dont get me started on this Care415 because this is not a bashing forum here.Im glad your happy and you like working for Care but things dont seem to work in Pike county and you can clearly see that!! When you have a co like Haynes that was here for 18 years people just depend on that kind of service which personally i think was top notch and its not happening with Care!! if it were you wouldnt see all these complaints and hear of them in the community obviously there is a problem somewhere, maybe its management ???As far as the helicopter ,thats just a extra icing on the cake care has promised which probably want happen and is that backup due to non-exsisting ground crews they dont have most days?? Helicopters are used for critical care transport ,only looks as if the ones being called in to Troy are transporting anything care cant??? most of the employee's that went to Care after Haynes left are no longer employed ?? correct ?? if im wrong im sorry but this is the picture that most people are seeing in Pike County right now ..have a good evening!

i think by contract the co that recieves the Bid must have 2 avaliable units in the County at all times, there are chances when both will get tied up on runs in the county or city and thats when the co should have personel to man a truck that are on call-in status. if it gets busy enough where a call lets say is on hold then i would think the 911 system would have to let the co with an avaliable truck take it or else your rear will get in a jam and thats when the ----- would hit the fan !!!

true i like your thoughts cojack!!! thats the way Montgomery and Dothan handle there situations but we have to realize those to cities are very busy .Its True that Troy is rapidly growing and it would be nice if they could do that but for now i cant see that happening !!

from what was advised and they say its the law that if someone calls 911 it has to go to the provider that has the contract !! the only way you can get Haynes is to call them direct .In the previous years when both were here you could request either service but the State put a stop to that which i dont think is right because as a citizen you should have the right to ask for who you want !! When Haynes had the contract before they got as many private calls as they did 911 calls so they just need to get the word out and advertise there services to troy and Pike co.

there is not much good that has come from Care so far for what im hearing and have also witnessed!! Everyone is going to paint the pretty picture just before bids to get the contract ..maybe tighten up ship for while and then back to the same (Care). Yes,i want Haynes back and i think 90% of the City and County want them back because of there success here in the past. You here it everywhere about Care about there response times, there Careless people, and patient care.Care and there people will never care about the people of Pike County and Troy like Haynes

Pepper i would like to correct you there ,most of the employee's that worked for Haynes had been with Haynes for about 13 years and even though some were not from Pike County by 13 years they all knew the City and County!!Local Dispatch was always staffed by a residence of Pike County. Another point i would like to make is that Haynes always monitored there response times and sometimes it would even become a competion between shifts to see what the best response times were. Once again you are someone making points you know nothing about just like the ones who have awarded the contract back to Care!! over and out .....

thats my thing ChinaGrove something or someone is hiding behind the woodshed !! If ya remember it all hit the papers and the airways months ago when Care breached there contract about the local dispatch and once again local dispatch is imperative for Pike CO and i cant understand why the City Ofiicials are now against this ???? Whats going to happen here is a couple months down the road its going to come back and bite them in the rear !! Im totally disgusted and outraged with our city officials and there decision here and cant do a dang thing about it !!! So all i got to say here is " Way to go City of Troy " i hope you can sleep at night with your decision !!

this article has some of the most B.S. in it i have ever read..why people do you keep making excuses for Care's irresponsiblity ??? For some reason you try and cover up everything they do like noone sees this.Response time is very critical anywhere and there not providing.. its obvious !! i just cant understand how our officials can make a statement like they have saying there meeting requirements??I am thankful we have other options in the city and county now .
On Ambulance board still in works
