Never mention busing in Troy. It means more money spent on transportation and less on education. We are very fortunate in the system we have. Either carpool or walk. By the way, I think the walking trail is great. As for the arboretum trail, it is almost always impassable.

Troy Schools did not meet AYP because their central office failed, not the teachers. Administration did not put the procedures in place to bring special needs children and low socioeconomic children up to federal standards.
Pike County Schools concentrates on these areas, perhaps too much. Notice: Troy City Schools produces Praise winners, National Merit Scholars, etc.
If I had a child in school today, that child would be in Troy City, not in a private school, nor in a county school. The fact is Troy City still does the best job of educating children.

By the way, has anybody noticed that Troy City has had problems since Hank Jones left? that Pike County has solved problems since John Key left?

Seems to me that this might bring some money to the neighborhood. None of the houses in the immediate area seem to be very luxurious; perhaps, the residents should consider selling to Sanford, Cole etc. and moving to a better place.
