Sounds like I struck a nerve oldhog!!! I did read my original post as I knew you would too. I don't get how you took my so-called liberal cause and turn it into a BLAME some one else. right.....I am arrogant got a big ego and I did get over it. Do I win money on the blame game cause I am due. Every state has problem but unfortunately darling we are talking about Alabama. I blame myself for not doing more instead I left. I don't know other's so blaming them isn't an option.

I stated my meesenger love that "If you have to feed your family and have been failed by a VERY poor educational system (that will only take interest in a child if that are of athletic use)and selling drugs is the only alternatives what do you tell the person to do? Starve? Become a burden to the State of Alabame?"

I agree Y2keid. Like I told "pikecountygirl" I would like contact information. I have people in Alabama that need this information. Honestly I don't hear the people I know speaking of these programs. Maybe they don't know. I definitely don't read about them in the Messenger!

monk-jonas your are just as silly as oldhog! If they only thing you find irresitible about what I wrote is mis-spellings than there is greater hope for you and you buddy yet! To strike a nerve one must have something worthy to say. I am quite sure you would love for things to stay they way they are. I am a Yankee till I die get over it. As my daughter says don't hate appreciate! Maybe I struck a nerve with you as well. Which gives me goose pimples and makes me all tingly inside. Glad you are my personal spell check. Seems like a great career choice.

I never said nor implied that the "very poor Troy City Schools" that spent "Trillions" (unclear on that)fault that some people opted to sell drugs. If I did please copy n paste it. So I can apologize. But I know you won't! Nor did I say anything about spending money on after school programs. WTF are you reading? Maybe you upgrade you drug choice as well or inhale.

Pikecountygirl. I did not have a harsh time in Pike County. It was an experience that made me the woman I am. I am glad to hear of the programs. If you can offer me contact information I would like to see what I can do to help. I don't live in Alabama and need to know where I can pratice what I preach. Thank you (REALLY) for what you wrote. You are the only person that told of these programs.

Before I get comments about the Unemployment office and Vocational Schools. I know of them! In some Sates in order to recieve any type of State assistance you are required to either VOLUNTEER or go to School. I don't know if these programs exist in Pike County. They had not when I recieved assistance for my 2 children. It would be nice if they did. I raised/raising 4 children ( meaning to are on their own and 2 at home) You can love and give a child all the time in the world but ultimately it is their decision what they will do. We as parents hope they learned from what we've done and proceed to do better than we have done.

Turtle I appreciate the message I recieved. It has been years since I have been in Troy. I apologize for my lack of knowing what is currently going on. I never read the positive things that go on in Troy. I hear what I hear and read what I read. So for the few people that actually provided me with the information I requested. Thank you and to you I apologize.
