Of course, Mr. Rose, I'm sure you've buttered the fingers of our planning committee. Mr. Lott seemed annoyed with the residents objections at the last committee. We all know that a mighty few run this town, as they have for years and years.

What a beautiful little boy! I pray that advancements in the medical field can lead to more successful treatments or even a cure to this rare disease!

Mr. Rose has repeatedly threatened an elderly lady on Lakeside Drive that if she fought the rezoning of the street, he would ensure that no landscaping would be done, and that there would be othing that she or anyone else could do about it! Mr. Rose wants to encroach upon each neighbors property so that the street is wide enough to bear the traffic of medium sized delivery trucks. Our tiny street has trouble sustaining the traffic that is already on it, and our community is already burdened with enough problems due to commercial encroachment, land erosion caused by insufficient drainage systems, noise, traffic, coyotes, etc. All that the neighborhood has asked of Mr. Rose is that he build the first building of his business on 167, where he plans to eventually move it anyway. Why go to the trouble of rezoning the land if your true intentions lay elswhere. Or could it be, Mr. Rose, that you believe yourself to be the man that can have that property rezoned, thereby benefitting you should you decide to sale this inconvenient parcel of land? How easy it would be to sale once it is rezoned. I see through you, and I prevail upon you to continue tinkering in your father in law's closet, hatching other "big plans" that will prove yourself as something more than an ignorant failure that continues to spend money and shows nothing for it.

Oh where would we be without you, AlabamaDreamin. Shouldn't your name be Alabama Dreaming?! No one cares about those types of comments. You would be better served by presenting an intelligent thought or opinion, instead of telling everyone else what they are spelling and writing incorrectly. I'm certain you could find a more suitable way to spend your time, as well!

Lending to build, I mean. Thought I better clarify before someone missunderstood my message.

HA! Why don't you tell that to all of the contractors and construction workers in Pike county that are losing their homes, unable to pay their bills and feed their families! Kiss it Troy Messenger. This is BS. I know many people looking for work that can't find it right now. Those rates are unreliable. Quit reporting that everything is hunky dory when it's the worst it's ever been. My family has been lucky to eat this month, and we are hard working tax paying citizens ready and willing to work. Maybe the banks should start lending money to all of the starving contractors that can't find ANY way to work!

Ha! I'll bet they're out of business by 2012! I never understood why they thought Troy would be a good local in the first place...Most of the customers they are targeting have been in Troy all of their lives and as proud citizens, they will continue to put their faith and their money into a localized store. I give the Tractor Supply company 2 years max before they close up shop!

A mountain lion, puma, panther, whatever you want to call it, was captured on photograph in Pike county. I saw the picture! There was another panther spotted right outside of a football stadium an hour after a high school game in Crestview, Florida a few weeks ago. I have seen a black panther and a black bear in Pike county in the past 10 years. Turtle is right! We are moving in on wildlife all over the country. These sightings are bound to become more common. I've even heard of wolves occasionally being sighted in the southeastern states. Seems to me that animals are also beginning to populate new territories in search of more food sources and solitude. Alabama still has, in my opinion, plenty of woodland for predatory animals. Not to mention the overpopulation of deer, specifically female deer!
