a person who attempts to impress others by assuming or affecting a manner, degree of elegance, sentiment, etc., other than his or her true one.
I'd be willing to bet that many of you with college degrees in this town have them from a school other than Alabama or Auburn..... So many swear allegiance to Alabama or Auburn without ever having had anything to do with either school (outside of cheering for the football team) and as soon as someone mentions Troy, the haters pop up and try to push us down. If you're not worried about us and know you will "destroy" us, why do you respond to Troy threads? The only thing that will ever validate either side is to play on the field and that won't ever happen.

I have been every year since 1998.....I know plenty about working hard to be succesful, I have been in the marching band activity since 1989. I never implied that the kids don't work hard, but simply working hard does not make you superior. You can recieve a II (excellent) or III (good) and still have worked your butt off.......

Because everybody wants the kids to feel good about themselves nowadays. Kids really have to go out of their way to fail in these current times. They want lots of bands and for people to come back year after year, if they scored like they should sometimes, feelings would be hurt and anger would ensue and they would not comeback.

They don't own the land the enitre stretch of the road do they? Just a segment right? How can you possibly shut down just a small portion of the road because property owners on either side want it that way? The way this reads, if me and my neighbor get together and decide we want our portion of the street closed we can do that as long as our nieghbors have an alternate route home, right?

Some are getting carried away, the championship trophies are still around for viewing in the trophy cases in front of the gym and down the hallway in nice, new cases leading to the locker room.
