I have sat here and read every one of the comments and I must say that some of you run hot and cold depending on who is being discussed. If any of you think this man has no chance of heaven, then I suggest re-reading your Bible's. Matthew 6:12 says forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 6:14-15, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive NOT men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. I am in no way defending this man, have no idea who he is, but the crime he has committed is no worse than telling a lie. I have great sympathy for the victims and their families, but people that commit crimes need our prayers and forgiveness. Have we gotten so jaded that we are losing our love and compassion for our fellow man?

yatta,
I think you may want to go back and read what I wrote. I didn't say anything about whether they were innocent OR guilty.

Does anyone else wish the Messenger would add a photo of the people arrested to these stories?

I was at Wal-Mart by 4:00 a.m., and I had a ball. I go every year because I love to watch people. Being in the crowd is so exciting to me. The faces made by happy or mad folks cracks me up!! I meet new friends every year. The employees at Wal-Mart are top notch, and I am thankful for the Troy Wal-Mart. I have visited many Wal-Mart's, and so far, I have found that we are very fortunate to have the manager and crew that we have in Pike County Alabama. I had a successful trip and went on to Lowe's, Fred's, Goody's, etc... By the way, I am not an employee of Wal-Mart, nor do I have any family that is employeed there.

I fully agree with your letter. We who expect to go to heaven must remember that all people have the choice of heaven. One thing that I've tried to teach my children is to befriend everyone. If we can't live in harmony on this earth, we won't have the chance to make heaven.

I've only been in that building a few times, and I agree that it should be saved. It is a very interesting building that has a great deal of history. So many buildings are just abandoned with no thought for future economic enterprising.
On The Rock Building should be preserved
