Thanks to all of the teachers & administrators of the Pike County Education System. We are happy that we are on top, but to stay there we must not allow slacking from teachers or students. I am happy that all county schools passed AYP. My children are enrolled in the county schools & I could not be happier with their school.
Children will get out of school what they put into it. If they do not want to put out an effort, they will not achieve, no matter where they are.

I am sorry to see Mr. Wright leaving. I think he was an awesome assist. principal. I believe he made a great improvement in the school in the 4 years that he was there. I am also sad to see Coach Holland leaving. I am not always happy with some of his policies, but my son loved him for 3 years. I also do not see why Doug Holland is gone. For a new coach to be able to do what he is is pretty amazing. I think it makes it even better because he was a hometown boy and could relate to the boys on his team. I guess having a winning season and being basketball coach of the year does not mean a lot to the administration on Pike County. Maybe we can get rid of Dr. Hall and Mr. Bazell and being back some good teachers and coaches when they leave.

My children have done well in the as far as grades go, but I hope the administration does something about the girls athletics this year. The whole softball program was a farce, from beginning to the final banquet.
