Deloney speaks to art guild today

The names Jackson Pollock, Winslow Homer and Salvador Dali might not ring a bell among the masses, but mention Jack Deloney and the gong will sound.
“Jack Deloney is recognized as one of the top Southern water color artists today,” said Janet Motes, Colley Senior Complex director. “And we are excited and honored to have him as the guest speaker for the quarterly meeting of the Colley Senior Complex Art Guild on Thursday.”
The Art Guild will meet at 11 a.m. at the Colley Senior Complex. The meeting is also open to those who would like to hear Deloney speak.
“Jack Deloney has received numerous awards and recognitions for his watercolors,” Motes said. “His work hangs in corporate, private and museum collections throughout the United States and abroad. Of course, many people in our area enjoy visiting the Jack Deloney Art Gallery at the ‘Verandas’ in Ozark.”
Deloney will speak at the lunch meeting of the Art Guild and will be available to sign his latest book. He will also have several of his prints available for viewing and for sale.
“The Art Guild recently decided to have guest speakers at our quarterly meetings and Jack Deloney was certainly a good choice as the first of many outstanding artists that we hope to have,” Motes said. “The purpose of the Art Guild is to promote art among those who come to the Colley Senior Complex or are affiliated with it.”
The Senior Art Guild has 55 members and the annual dues are more than reasonable at $5.
“We have four meetings a year and that includes four meals for $5, and you can’t beat that,” Motes said. “The Art Guild is very active throughout the year. We take trips to art museums and art shows and participate in workshops and present shows of our own. We always welcome new members. So we invite those who are interested in art to come hear Jack Deloney speak on Feb. 11 and learn more about the Colley Senior Complex Art Guild.”

What a great thing. Also is anyone pays any attention at all in school they would know the first three artists mentioned in this article.

Very creative writing in the article. Of course no one has heard of Jack Deloney, but Salvador Dali, well let's see, his work is at the Louvre, the Guggenheim, the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate, the Metropolitan and hundreds of others all over the globe.
I guess "the masses" have heard of him after all.
