Schools delay start of classes

Troy City Schools and Pike Liberal Arts School have delayed the start of classes until 9 a.m. due to inclement weather.

Pike County Schools are scheduled to begin classes at the normal time, although Superintendent Dr. Mark Bazzell said some bus routes may be delayed due to weather.

Troy City Schools Superintendent Dr. Linda Felton Smith said teachers are expected to report to school at the normal time, but students are not required to report until 9 a.m. today.
