Troy Tiger Shark Thomas Dent grabs a breath during the 100-yard individual medley Thursday night at the Troy Recreation Center pool in the Tiger Sharks tri-meet with the Andalusia Stingrays and the Eufaula Waverunners.
Swimming competitively was the prime activity Thursday night at the Troy Recreation Center, as the Troy Tiger Sharks hosted a tri-meet with the Andalusia Stingrays and Eufaula Waverunners.
“It went well tonight and we were happy with how the kids performed,” Sharks swim coach Shane Tatum said. “I was pleased with how our kids did out there tonight.”
Tatum said he has been working to get the Sharks to play together as a team and he is happy with how well they have taken to the team concept.
“These are young kids and they are really coming together,” he said. “All of these kids are getting faster.”
The Tiger Sharks have only been practicing since June 1 and Tatum said they have done well for how little time he has had to prepare them for competition.
