Troy indoor soccer in Montgomery recap

In Montgomery YMCA Indoor Soccer League action Tuesday night, Troy Indoor U14 (1-0) beat Montgomery Indoor U14 Red 6-4. Midfielder Scott McLendon and forward James McNeill scored goals for Troy, while midfielder Tanner Dansby and keepers Hunter Kennedy and McLendon controlled the defense and sparked the late counter-attack by Troy.
In other action, Troy Indoor U18 (1-0) defeated Montgomery Indoor Gray 8-7. Midfielder Douglas McLendon and forward Michael Salmon each scored two goals and midfielders Mitchell Payne and Josh Taylor each added one goal.
Midfielder Andrew Bentley and keeper Stephen Pearlstein stymied the late Montgomery rally for the win.
Troy U14 takes on Montgomery U14 Yellow July 6 at 7:15 p.m. at the Montgomery YMCA Indoor Field.
Troy U18 faces Montgomery U18 Blue on July 7, at 7:15 p.m. at the same venue.
