Congressional race mudslinging

Published Saturday, October 25, 2008

Dear Editor,

Have you people really watched these TV ads for second congressional district seat? You have one person who has ads that show one thing but he says something totally different. So what do you believe? He is saying one thing but doing another.

Now on the other hand you have someone who in each TV ad has said pretty much the same thing and has not thrown mud, not one time. At an event after the run off in July in Pike County, not one time did I hear this person talk down about anyone from any political party.

So yes, you can say I am backing Mr. Bright because if you really look at he is not a RED STATE or BLUE STATE he is a RED WHITE & BLUE STATE! Ithink that is the best party to be in because in that party Uncle Sam is the mascot not a donkey or a elephant.

Bobby Bright doesn't have to trash Jay Love at his rallies; he lets the DCCC do that for him.

Remember that the mudslinging in this race was started by Harri Anne Smith who has since endorsed Bright after he paid off her campaign debt and then praised her for crossing party lines. One wonders what Bright's response would have been had his opponent in the Democratic primary endorsed Jay Love.

As for Bright, what has he done that makes him the best choice for Congress? He has spent a lot of money and put the city of Montgomery in debt - just the kind of thing we don't need in Washington.

lets get the facts straight, jay love started the mud slinging when harri anne smith was running... harri anne smith never got paid by bright that was just a story the republican party made up to make her seem less significant... Bright has brought lots of business to montgomery, created 12,000 jobs, been re-elected twice, and built a 30 million dollar rainy day fund... how is this putting them in debt?... As for the DCCC they have only reported the facts about Love's past... Freedom Watch has LIED repeatedly about Bright, as has Jay Love... even to the point of saying bright endorsed obama... when he didnt... so please route, get the facts then talk.

I would suggest the true is measure of a politician is to measure how well he represents you. This can be easily checked at http://www.thepeopledecide.us.

You also might check my website at http://libertyisprecious.blogspot. I'm running against Congress for the 2nd District in 2010.
