What is this?
Enough already
Published Saturday, October 11, 2008
To the Editor:
When I was eight I heard Arkansas republicans chanting “Nixon Nixon he’s my man, Kennedy belongs in the garbage can”. When I was 12 Oswald killed John Kennedy. Only a few years later both Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King lay dead victims ultimately of hate.
Along the way I saw attack leaflets by George Wallace supporters in northwest Alabama claiming that Albert Brewer’s daughter was pregnant by a black man.
Enough is enough already with the hatred and lies! These vicious attacks are dangerous and uncalled for and John McCain and Sarah Palin are irresponsible for not calling out those who shot “kill him” and “off with his head” at campaign rallies.
Appears to be that the McCain campaign is stoop very deep into the mud to attract ill-informed and educationally and emotionally challenged voters. If the Republican Party is going to act this way perhaps they should henceforth be referred to as the “know-nothing” party.

Wallace is always unfairly judged.

....speaking of "ill-informed and educationally and emotionally challenged", you have incorrectly and unfairly blamed the "Republican Party" for "act(ing) this way" when in fact the ones acting this way are not representatives of the Republican Party at all. Should we who are Republican-leaning in our political views scold the Democratic Party for Perez Hilton's profanity-laced tirades against anyone who dares disagree with the homosexual agenda? On the contrary, though, it is completely fair to point to those who truly represent the Democratic Party when they make such assinine comments as Barack Obama, Barney Frank, and Nancy Pelosi have made in recent days. Obama referred to unplanned pregnancy as being "punished with a baby"; and Pelosi, when caught red-handed lying about what she knew about waterboarding, accused the CIA of being pathological liars; while Frank, one of the chief supporters of sub-prime loans to those with no means of paying them back, had the audacity to try to blame Bush for the housing crisis which led to our current economic crisis. Now THOSE are ACTUAL representatives of the Democratic Socialist Party!!! Step away from the kool-aid my friend........
