Funeral services for Clara Lois Mahone will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Ansley, Alabama, with Rev. C. L. Sankey officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ansley, Alabama.

Clara Lois Mahone was born September 12, 1922 in Pike County, Alabama the sixth child of the late Buety Berry and the late Lillie Mae Berry. Lois was joined in holy matrimony to the late J.D. Mahone, Sr. At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Springfield Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buety Berry and Lillie Mae Berry, her husband, J. D. Mahone, Sr., three brothers and two sisters. She departed this life on July 26, 2008 at Troy Rehabilitation Center at 4:30 a.m. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her children, Doris Shy, Ada Tolbert, Annie J. Noble, Annie Lois Mahone, J. D. Mahone, Jr. (Christine), and Debbie J. Mahone; one sister-in-law, Viole Berry; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
