C.B. Rodgers

Mr. C.B. Rodgers was born the fourth child of eight children to Mr. and Mrs. Babe (Emma) Rodgers of Pike County, Alabama, on May 11, 1915. He lived 92 fruitful and blessed years when the angel of the Lord called upon him on August 5, 2007.

He met and married the love of his life, Ms. Lillie Lee Cox on November 15, 1941. They lived happily together until her death in April 2004.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of County Line Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board until his death on August 5, 2007.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers and sisters-in-law and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. L.K. (Lois) Rodgers, Mr. J. Dell (Gussie) Rodgers, Mrs. Willie Mae (Charlie) McGuire, Mrs. Lorine (Mack) Pierson and Mrs. Minnie Jewell (West) McDonald.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: a loving and devoted daughter and son, Mrs. Helen J. (Robert) Cooper of Troy, Alabama and Charles (Alcalen- deceased) Rodgers of Brundidge, Alabama; two brothers, Mr. Jack (Mamie) Rodgers of Dothan, Alabama and Mr. Eddie (Irene- deceased) Rodgers of Detroit, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
