Middle School girl's team beats Andy

The Charles Henderson Middle School Lady Trojans improved their record to 5-1 on the season with a 54-23 win over Andalusia on Tuesday night.

The game was a direct contrast to the earlier meeting - a close 29-23 CHMS win - as the Lady Trojans pulled away just before halftime to lead 34-13 going into the break.

Lindsey Garner led CHMS with 10 points and four steals, while Bridgette Dix, Whitney Youngblood and Akeyai Dixon each had eight points. Dixon also pulled down eight boards.

The Lady Trojans split two games last week as Greenville Middle School handed CHMS its first loss of the season, 45-25. Garner led CHMS with seven points and Dix had five. Dixon had five rebounds.

The loss to Greenville came a night after, Charles Henderson defeated Pike County by the final score of 55-9. 11 Lady Trojans scored during the game.

Kimberly Collins led the scoring effort with 11 points, followed by Garner's nine points. Anita Collier and Youngblood each had seven points. Youngblood had eight steals, while Garner and Collier each had five steals. Collins pulled down nine boards.
