Senior Legion drops two straight

Dothan Post 12 swept the Troy Post 70 Senior Legion team in a doubleheader on Wednesday played at Dothan's Northcutt Field.

Dothan won the first contest 12-1 and the second 13-3.

Will Jones, Kevin Stephens, Scott Stetson, and Chris Logan all contributed hits for Post 70 in the first game.

John David Adams was Post 12's winning pitcher and Adam King, who signed a letter-of-intent earlier this week to play college baseball for Troy State, added three hits and two RBIs.

Layton Sanders led Post 70 in the second game with two hits.

Adams, Ronny Woods and Adam Tucker had two hits to lead Post 12 in the second contest.

Post 70 will play at Enterprise at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will play Geneva at 6 p.m. next Tuesday before returning home to face Central-Phenix City on June 20 at Frazier Field.
