The Pike County Bulldogs got another game and another win under their belt Wednesday morning with a 5-2 win over the Bullock County Hornets.

The victory marked the fifth in a row for the Bulldogs and improved their record to 11-6 on the season.

Pike County pitcher Dee Price pitched six innings to get the win as PCHS held Bullock County to only two runs, both scored in the second inning, and poured on the juice at the plate for a little insurance.

The Bulldogs scored one in the first and third innings before putting two across the plate in the fourth and another in the sixth.

They were led by a 2-for-4 performance by Brian Kilpatrick at the plate. Price had a single to help his cause, while Jimmy Evans and Sam Diggs also had singles. Jonathan Tillery followed with a double.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a two-day tournament in Thomasville where they will play two games on both Thursday and Friday.

The Bulldogs will play the host Thomasville on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and then Holtville that afternoon at 3:45 p.m. They then take on Clarke County at 9 a.m. on Friday before playing another 3:45 matchup with West Blocton.
