Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Chinberg of Troy, AL announce the engagement of their daughter
Susan Kay Chinberg to Michael Wayne Pond. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pond of Headland, AL. Grandparents of the bride elect are Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Chinberg of Huntsville, AL and Mr. and Mrs. William Granstaff of Huntsville, AL.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Pond of Alton, AL and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Smothers of Birmingham, AL.
Susan is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School and received a BS degree in Fine Arts and Art Education from Troy University and is currently pursing a Masters of Secondary Education degree from Troy University. She is employed with Auburn City Schools as an Elementary Art Teacher at Wrights Mill Road Elementary School in Auburn, AL. Michael is a graduate of Headland High School and received a BS degree in Business Administration from Troy University. He is also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He is employed with East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. The wedding will take place on June 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at The Beach Club, Fort Morgan, AL.
