Troy plays its second straight Thursday game as the Trojans travel to take on Louisiana-Lafayette. Troy gained its bowl eligibility with a win over ULL and are now looking to build on its postseason resume.

The Cajuns comes out hot scoring on its second possession after they take advantage of busted coverage in Troy’s secondary.

Shermane TeArt and the interior defensive line does an admirable job of stuffing ULL’s running game but the play action continues to hurt Troy.

After the Cajuns build a 14-0 lead, the Trojans get on the board on a pass from Corey Robinson to B.J. Chitty.

At halftime the score stands at 14-7 ULL.

Will Scott is able to convert a 31-yard field goal to cut the deficit to 14-10 but Louisiana-Lafayette scores again near the end of the third quarter.

Both offenses look sluggish to open the fourth quarter but Troy finally breaks through with a touchdown run from Daron White to make a 17-14 game.

With just over two minutes to play ULL quarterback Terrence Broadway finds Jamal Robinson in the back of the endzone to give the Cajuns the lead for good.

Troy falls to 6-4, 3-3 in Sun Belt.

RESULT: Troy LOSES, 21-17.

STAT OF THE GAME: Mark Wilson 11 tackles, 2 for loss
