Jamie Rich, Pike Agriscience Academy program facilitator/teacher, center, was available if needed at the Goshen High Agriculture Plant Sale on Thursday. However, she said the sale was in very capable hands.

The “cupboard” at the Pike Agriscience Academy at Goshen High School is not bare but it’s getting close.

The Goshen High Agriculture Plant Sale on Thursday was such a success that the pickings will be very slim today.

Jamie Rich, Pike Agriscience Academy program facilitator/teacher, said the response to the plant sale from the Goshen community Thursday was tremendous.

The plant sale was from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and sales were brisk throughout the day.

“The plants are beautiful; we are offering good deals and the community has responded,” Rich said. “The Wandering Jew and sweet potato vine hanging baskets went really fast but we still have lots of spider plant hanging baskets. And, we still have tomato plants, some perennials, mother-in-law tongues and a few herbs for sale.  So, the Goshen High Agriculture Plant Sale is not over. We still have good plants and good deals.”

The spider plant hanging baskets are five dollars. The annual flowers and tomato plants are $2.50 for a six-pack.
