Three of the four suspects involved in a series of late-night burglaries in Ebenezer have been identified and arrested.

Lauren Elizabeth Freeman, 24, of Eufaula; Donald Ray Green, 30, of Clayton; and Cynthia Dawn Yeatman, 19, also of Clayton, have been arrested and charged with burglary third degree in connection with the break-ins.

The fourth suspect, a male, has been identified but not yet arrested. “We know who he is and we’re trying to locate him,” said Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas.

The suspects are charged with stealing tools and equipment from a shop in the Ebenezer community. The thefts took place over a three-day span around Jan. 25 and security tape footage from the shop captured the suspects during the break-ins.

In mid-February, Lt. Sam Mallory released images from the security footage and asked the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

“We really want to thank the public for their help in identifying these individuals,” Thomas said. “Once we put the information in the media and asked for the public’s help, we started getting calls from Eufaula and Barbour County and were able to identify these individuals.”

Mallory said Freeman and Green turned themselves into the Eufaula Police Department and Yeatman turned herself into the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.

The stolen property was recovered and identified by the shop owner. Thomas said his department appreciated the assistance of the Eufaula Police in the investigation.
